The Almerian Levante: A Golfing Stage - Tournaments and Events This Season

Autumn is the best time to play golf in the Almerian Levante: mild temperatures, courses in perfect condition, and a calendar full of competitions. This season, the area also welcomes players aspiring to join the European circuit.<\/p>

The DP World Tour Visits Desert Springs<\/h2>

From 29th October to 1st November<\/b>, the Indiana course at Desert Springs<\/b>, in Cuevas del Almanzora, is one of the four Spanish venues for the second stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School<\/b>, the former European Tour. Around 75 players, both professionals and amateurs, compete over 72 holes of stroke play. The best advance to the final stage in Tarragona, where tour cards for the DP World Tour in 2027 are distributed.<\/p>

Desert Springs has an agreement to host this event until 2027, putting the Almerian Levante on the international golf map year after year.<\/p>

The Youngest Players at Valle del Este<\/h2>

On Sunday, 15th November<\/b>, Valle del Este<\/b>, in Vera, hosts a round of the Pequecircuito<\/b>, the children's circuit of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, where the youngest golfers in the area will play. It is a testament to the sporting life of the resort, which has also hosted international competitions in the past, such as the 2013 European Father & Son Championship.<\/p>

Amateur Tournaments for Everyone<\/h2>

• Valle del Este<\/b> maintains a club competition calendar throughout the year and usually holds its December tournament, taking advantage of the holiday and good weather. It also hosts special tournaments like the Women's Summer Open<\/b>, organised by and for women golfers.<\/li>
• Almería Golf Pro Tour<\/b>: a provincial circuit in a pro-am format, with teams of one professional and three amateurs, touring the province's courses throughout the season.<\/li>
• Charity Tournaments<\/b>: on 17th October, over a hundred players participated in the III Charity Tournament of the Red Cross Almería at Alborán Golf.<\/li> <\/ul>
